Summary0001685: Multi core use?
DescriptionHi,
When running mega it seems to be only using one core on my mac, is there a way to push it to multiple cores as I have 8? This would speed up the analysis significantly.
Cheers
Sofie

Hi Sofie,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. MEGA can use multiple cores to speedup only some of the analyses available (specifically the Maximum Likelihood based tools). Wherever it is possible to set the number of cores, MEGA will display an option in the Analysis Preferences dialog to set the Number of Threads.
