Summary | 0002106: BLAST search window freezes |
Description | Running latest MEGAX in Mac OS 10.14.6. I'm trying to run a BLAST search in MEGAX but cannot get it to work. The first time I tried this morning the search initiated but never resolved (waited 10 minutes+ for a search that takes ~1 minute or less in my web browser). Now every time I try to initiate the BLAST search the window freezes after I change the Max Target Sequences to 250. The latest time I tried to run a BLAST Search I was able to set the parameters, but the search window never updated (time elapsed counter stayed at 00:00:00). |
Steps To Reproduce | Choose "Perform BLAST Search" from ALIGN menu
Type Genbank ID (NM_000575 is the example I'm using) into the Query Sequence field
Set Organism search limit to "mammals"
Change "Max Target Sequences" to 250
Click on BLAST button to initiate search |
