| Summary | 0002504: Tree export in MEGA-X 10.2.4 |
| Description | 1) Newick export cannot be read correctly (or at all, respectively) by other softwares such as Mesquite or Figtree. At least one of the problems is the decimal separator being the native Windows ',' (in Portugal and other Latin language countries it is not a '.'), but other things such as bracket matching could also be an issue. I do not understand the Newick syntax, but replacing the ',' with '.' in the decimal separators, using Notepad++ in plain text format, was not enough. No problem with using version 10.1.8.
2) In version 10.1.8 a tree session made in version 10.2.4 was not recognised and I was forced to do the tree (with all the bootstrapping) again. The alert said: Unknown Run-Time error: 998. |
