0004554: Crashing while phylotree reconstruction

Description

The MEGA 11 software crashes or shuts down in Microsoft Windows 11 during bootstrapping when generating a maximum likelihood tree with specific settings indicated in the "steps to reproduce" field. Replicated the same settings in MEGA X but the older app did not crash. I tried using different computers with different computing power but the same experience.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Alignment of the dataset with 100 sequences of 16S rRNA genes via MUSCLE (see Combined.mas file attached)
2. Enter Phylogenetic Analysis mode.
3. Construct a Maximum Likelihood tree via settings:
    a. ML statistical method
    b. Bootstrap method.
    c. 1000 replications
    d. Nucleotide Substitution
    e. Tamura-Nei Model
    f. Gamma Distributed with Invariant Sites (G+I)
    g. 5 discrete gamma categories
    h. all sites are used for data treatment
    i. default codon positions (all checked)
    j. NNI ML heuristic method
    k. default initial tree
    l. branch swap filter none
    m. 4-8 Number of threads
