| Description | Report bugs or other issues regarding the MEGA software
Yesterday, suddenly MEGA7 has started not saving alignments as .masx files on my home PC running Windows 10. It's a new computer (May 2017) and I was aligning and saving alignment files up to that point without any problems with the copy of MEGA7 downloaded from the website in May. I can make changes to an existing .mas or .masx file and save as .meg, which allows me to use the phylogeny programs but then cannot add extra sequences and align them for use. Please help! |
| Steps To Reproduce | Open a previous alignment file (.masx or .mas). Save Session. Save with a new name. File appears with the name chosen simply as 'File' and is not recognised by MEGA7. I have uploaded the alignment file on which I was working when it happened for the first time. |
| Additional Information | I thought it might have been a problem with the copy of MEGA7 that I downloaded in May, so I deleted that and have just downloaded a new copy from the website, but this version too is not saving the files as .masx but simply as File. |
