Summary0000505: Impossible to read fasta file
DescriptionDear,

I tried to open a fasta file into MEGA. However, it was impossible. The MEGA software proposed me only this extension file: .mao

I used MEGA 7.0.26-Proto.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Benoit,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. MEGA-Proto is only used for generating a MEGA Analysis Options (.mao) file which is used by megacc to run an analysis. Please see the quick start tutorial at http://www.megasoftware.net/pdfs/MEGA7-CC-Quick-Start-Tutorial.pdf [^] for examples of how to use MEGA-Proto with MEGA-CC.
