Summary0000683: MEGACC not using cores as specified
DescriptionHello there,

I recently installed MEGA-CC on my university computer cluster and attempt to use it to generate a Maximum likelihood phylogeny. I use megaproto to generate the *.mao file to use 128 threads. However, when I use megacc to run the analysis, resource manager in Ubuntu shown that it not using all 128 of the core specified (usually 3-4 cores).

Please assist,

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA-CC software. MEGA-CC is not an application that can be distributed across multiple nodes in a computing cluster. Instead, it runs on a single computer and can only access the cores on that computer.
