Summary | 0000836: ClustalW options does not accept the default decimal numbers
Description | When trying to run ClustalW on its default setting i get "Please enter a valid number". When i change fx Gap Extension Penalty from 6,66 to 6.66 I get the response that it is a invalid float. It only seem to work when I'm giving it integers only. Here however when I open it again after using integers, have there been added a ",00" to them all which again invokes the "Please enter a valid number" response.

Hi Kasper, I am writing in response to the bug report you recently reported regarding the MEGA software. It looks like the issue you encountered is a problem with MEGA X not working well with non-English decimal separator. Would you mind downloading and trying out a new build of MEGA X that will force the use of the dot character for the decimal separator. This new build can be downloaded from: http://www.megasoftware.net/releases/megax_10.0.4-1_amd64.deb [^] -- Best regards, Glen Stecher Institute for Genomics and Evolutionary Medicine igem.temple.edu |
