Summary0000353: an inquiry about constructing similarity index from RAPD genetic analysis
DescriptionI have an inquiry is that applicable using Megs software to get a similarity matrix or index (By Jaccard algorithm) from a a sequence of DNA bands from gel electropheresis analysis in RAPD to draw a phlyogenetic tree.
Thanks

The sequence #MX12NIR_D12-1-seq is longer than the others. Not a bug.

Hi Amira,

I am writing in response to your question regarding the MEGA software. To construct a phylogenetic tree using MEGA, you will need a DNA or protein sequence alignment (applicable for all methods) or a pre-computed distance matrix (only applicable for distance methods).
