| Description | Problem 1: MEGA has started freezing every time I try to open a file and I can no longer use it. I have a 2020 Mac M1 macOS 12.1, and MEGA 11 has worked in the past. I *think* there may have been a recent Java update, but I don't know if that would affect anything. When trying to open or create a file, the programme freezes and any attempt to do anything else in the software yields a sad little 'blip' noise. Problem 2: Clicking 'updates' at the bottom crashes the programme altogether. I have tried reinstalling the software with no change to either issue. | ||||||||||||

Hello Zolla, I am writing in response to the bug report that you submitted regarding the editing functions in MEGA’s alignment explorer. It sounds like the ‘Allow Base Editing’ feature is turned off. To enable editing, you can click on the ‘Allow Base Editing’ menu item from the Edit menu. Please let me know if this solves the problem. Best regards, Glen Stecher |
